The proposed service will make a bounded research attempt its basic unit: a question, a method, a spending limit and a record of what happened. Negative results belong in that record too.
Public collections will include historical ciphers and undeciphered writing. The first funded pilot will start with one reviewed, eligible target. A convincing reading alone is not proof.
Where things stand
This is a static reading preview. Voting, accounts, email signup, payments and live research are not connected. The book-key record is illustrative. No historical experiment has run here.
Any target that has ever carried a paid bounty is excluded. Unknown history blocks funding until reviewed. Contributions, when enabled, will fund attempts without a guarantee of a solution.

Project covers are AI-generated editorial illustrations. They are not photographs, facsimiles, transcriptions or evidence. Source material is linked separately on each project page.
The visual design follows Colin’s Wood cryptogram article. Its stone paper, black ink, two Garamond typefaces and monospace data styling carry through this site. The fonts are served locally.
Existing private research stays private. Only reviewed public material is linked here.
